GirlfriendGPT Review (2026): 10 Free Messages a Day, Good Memory
Verdict: A good middle ground: more free chat per day than most, solid memory and lots of control over how the character writes. The free model is slow, so if speed matters, pay or pick another app.
Signing up
Passwordless: type your email, get a 6-digit code (about 30 seconds for us), choose a username and tick "I confirm that I am 18 years old or older". No card. Our first message went out about four minutes after we clicked Sign Up. The cookie banner only has an Accept button.
The first chat opens a settings screen worth using: short or long replies, concise or descriptive, first or third person, movie-script or novel formatting, a baseline or explicit tone, and the chat language (12 options).
How much you get for free
Ten messages a day. The eleventh got "You ran out of messages", and coming back later showed "You have exceeded your daily limit of 10 messages". The Earn tab hands out extras: 10 messages for a daily login, 10 for liking five characters, coins for posting about it. New accounts get 30 coins; one AI portrait cost us 10 and came out photo-real in 16 seconds. Voice playback stayed locked on the free plan.
Chat quality and memory
We chatted with a popular girlfriend character who was hiding something on her phone, and she kept that plot going while answering everything we said. Replies are long, 150–250 words in third person. On the free model they took 11–25 seconds to start and 25–35 seconds to finish, the slowest in our test.

Right on both. After ten long messages a "Context Limit Reached" notice warned that older messages would be dropped on the free plan.
Creating your own
Five steps: a picture (upload, gallery or generated for 10 coins), age (18+), language and tags, then description, personality, scenario and first message (2,500 tokens), a voice (16 female and several male), and visibility. We built one on the free plan without hitting a paywall.
Billing and privacy
Credit card or pay-by-bank; no PayPal, and crypto only through a support ticket. You cancel under Manage subscription. Account deletion is self-serve (Account → Danger Zone). It's run by NextDay AI, the company behind SpicyChat. There's no app-store app; you install the web app or an Android APK from the site.
