Candy AI Review (2026): Prices, Free Plan and What We Couldn't Test
Verdict: Not scored: we couldn't get an account. If you try it, know the free plan is just 5 messages, and only the 12-month plan is cheap ($13.99 a month otherwise).
Why this isn't a full review
We only score apps we've chatted with ourselves. Candy shows you a character's opening message, but pressing send opens the signup form. We solved its image captchas and submitted the form several times; the server answered "We're unable to complete your registration at this time. Please try again later." The page simply reset without showing it. Candy runs a fraud-check script on signup, which is the likely reason. We'll re-test and score it when we get in.
The free plan, on paper
Candy's help center says free users can send up to 5 messages in total across all characters, create one custom character and generate one image. That's the smallest free plan of any app we've looked at, so expect to hit the paywall almost immediately.
Prices
Three terms, all with the same features: unlimited text messages, 100 tokens a month, image and video generation and the "Live Action" mode. The 12-month plan is $3.99 a month, the 3-month plan $8.99, and the 1-month plan $9.99 for the first month and $13.99 after that. A "-70%" badge sits on every page. Tokens pay for images, voice messages, calls and video, so heavy picture use means buying top-ups.
Payment by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, crypto or bank transfer, and the charge shows as "EverAI" (EverAI Limited, Malta). You cancel in settings; deleting your account also cancels the subscription.
The character creator
You can go through every step without an account: realistic or anime, ethnicity, hair, eyes, body, then name, age (18–55), personality, relationship, occupation, up to three kinks and a voice. The last step asks you to sign up to "bring your AI to life".
